PCDworks has designed and built a motor research and development lab dedicated to proof-of-concept, design, prototyping, test and evaluation of motors for a variety of motion control applications: from precision voice coil drives to the highly powerful and energy efficient Brushless DC motors currently being developed for our military and corporate clients. We focus our extensive experience on motion control design and development on your specific needs- we are experts at application-specific motor designs. PCDWorks motors and motor controllers can be tailored to suit your requirements from power, efficiency, speed, torque, size and cost targets. We design and develop customized integrated gear heads, drive shafts, housing design and mounting options as well.

Our prototype shop has full CNC capability and the ability to quickly download 3D CAD models for rapid prototyping of highly precision components.
PCDworks BLDC Motors feature highly efficient Quadrant magnetic architecture using powerful NeFeB or SmCo magnets and pressed powder iron cores. The design ensures long, reliable operating life, high energy efficiency, superior heat dissipation characteristics and programmability. MathCAD and 3D models; both at component and at the systems level are used to build working prototypes. We utilize National Instruments LabVIEW data acquisition system to collect, evaluate and analyze complex motor electrical, mechanical and electromagnetic parameters. We have a certified LabVIEW architect on stafff.
